Sounds good doesn't it. Basically, it means that I get access to some extra bits that are in 'beta testing', but they are not guaranteed to work (because they are being tested - by me and lots of others). In return, if I hit problems, I let the developers know. There is more info at FAQ #531: What is an Official deviantART Beta Tester?

Actually it seems to be as reliable as the rest of the site, and it means I get nice big thumbnails, and it's generally easier to use. Yay. Only downside is that you have to be a subscriber.
